Equipment Engineering Director directs equipment engineering activities within an organization. Plans and develops policies and procedures for designing, developing and implementing equipment. Being an Equipment Engineering Director ensures all equipment engineering projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies and objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Equipment Engineering Director typically reports to top engineering management. The Equipment Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Equipment Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Sell new and used equipment and parts while maintaining existing customer relations and establishing new ones.

    Responsibilities:

    · Contact and visit potential customers to demonstrate new products, explain features, solicit orders, and provide product samples or catalogs.

    · Address customer questions and concerns about products, prices, availability, and returns.

    · Recommend products to customers based on the customers’ needs and budget.

    · Prepare and present quoted prices, credit or payment terms, warranties, and delivery dates.

    · Provide customers with drawings, estimates, and bids that meet their specific needs and requirements.

    · Identify and pursue prospective customers by utilizing business directories, following leads, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.

    · Arrange delivery and installations of products.

    · Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors.

    · Participate in yearly pricing discussions and strategies.

    · Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    · Highschool Diploma or equivalent.

    · Bachelors’ degree in business or marketing preferred.

    · Knowledge of agricultural and farming practices.

    · Knowledge of Center Pivot equipment Preferred.

    · Basic business and math skills.

    · Proficient with Microsoft office programs.
