Equipment Engineer designs, develops, evaluates, and deploys manufacturing equipment, devices, and systems. Develops electrical control devices to convey materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. Being a Equipment Engineer integrates devices and instruments into the systems that measure and control environmental or material variations occurring during the manufacturing process. Ensures equipment and processes maintain throughput, yield, safety, and reliability objectives. Additionally, Equipment Engineer maintains an up-to-date knowledge of equipment vendors' changes, upgrades, and innovations. Prepares preventive maintenance plans and procedures for all equipment and provides technical support during maintenance or turnaround processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Equipment Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Trane Technologies develops future leaders through its Graduate Training Program. We are currently recruiting recent graduates who are excited to participate in our 5-month, best-in-class, Sales Engineering program. This program begins in either January or July. The best candidates for this opportunity are excited to: 
    • Be a technical expert for our valued commercial customers.

    Job Summary: 

    A career in sales engineering demands a good engineering background but also requires excellent communication, strong relationship building skills, and determination, 

    As a sales engineer, you will:
    • Sell the world's most complete line of efficient heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and building management controls to our commercial, industrial, and institutional customers
    • Work with engineers, architects, contractors and owners/developers in the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for our customer’s buildings.
    As a part of your onboarding and development you will attend the Trane Technologies Graduate Training Program (GTP) - a 5-month classroom training program designed to prepare you for a rewarding career in technical sales. Started in 1926 and recognized as the industry's most comprehensive training program, GTP provides you with intensive technical, business, sales, and leadership training. 

    Upon completion of the program, you will assume responsibilities of an Associate Account Manager focused on Systems, Services, or Controls within a pre-assigned office location.

    Compensation Information: 
    • Base Pay: $65,000
    • Lodging, a daily stipend, and relocation are provided during the 5-month training.
    • Compensation expectations after program completion are partially commission based and industry leading. This creates an uncapped compensation opportunity for our Associate Account Managers. We are happy to discuss what this could look like!

    Travel/Location of GTP 

    • Relocation for 5 Months of training in La Crosse, WI and less than 15% in a defined geographic location after La Crosse, WI training. 
    Qualifications: 

    • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in engineering (Open to all engineering areas of emphasis)
    • Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

    • Possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, ability to provide proof of insurance, and have no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
      • DUI in the previous 3 years
      • Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
