Equipment Engineer designs, develops, evaluates, and deploys manufacturing equipment, devices, and systems. Develops electrical control devices to convey materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. Being a Equipment Engineer integrates devices and instruments into the systems that measure and control environmental or material variations occurring during the manufacturing process. Ensures equipment and processes maintain throughput, yield, safety, and reliability objectives. Additionally, Equipment Engineer maintains an up-to-date knowledge of equipment vendors' changes, upgrades, and innovations. Prepares preventive maintenance plans and procedures for all equipment and provides technical support during maintenance or turnaround processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Equipment Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Responsibilities:
    Our Construction Equipment Group is currently seeking to hire a Heavy Equipment Sales Manager to support the Pennsylvania Region to join our team. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

    • Manage sales representatives selling the Case product line and other large brand construction lines
    • Train direct reports on account/territory management, financial merchandising, and prospect for new business. In addition, to the management of key accounts.
    • Ensure that quota objectives provided by management is met
    • Ability to use effective time and territory management skills
    • Ride-along with sales representative and personal visits to customer’s applications to identify opportunities
    • Effective use of direct mail, phone and electronic media to communicate with prospects and customers
    • Must be able to develop sales plans and resolve customer issues as they arise
    • Effectively present at the customers’ location in front of a group and show the benefits of your products and services
    • Report to Management on key data and ensure sales objectives are met
    • Actively participate in the use and expansion of the companies CRM program
    • Participate in sales training and use tools provided to educate on your own various products and services offered by the company
    • Review sales team open proposals and participate in customer sales calls when necessary
    • Review submitted sales orders for accuracy
    • Ability to demonstrate products at the customer’s location
    • Coordinate with all departments involved in the sales process to exceed customers’ expectations
    • Provide training to staff on customized financing packages to meet each customer’s unique requirements
    • Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time
    Desired Skills and Qualifications:
    • 2-4 years of heavy construction equipment sales management experience is highly preferred
    • 5 years of business-to-business sales experience
    • Must possess strong leadership and motivational skills with the ability to inspire and empower the sales team
    • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
    • Fast paced, high energy individual with an aggressive sales style
    • Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record and automobile insurance
    • Computer programs - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
    • Mathematical Skills - Intermediate: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
    • Reasoning Ability - High: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    Physical Demands/Work Environment:
    • Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will sit; Occasionally will stand, walk, reach with hands and arms,, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell
    • Vision: No special vision requirements
    • Lift and/or Move Functions: Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift 26 to 50 pounds
    • Work Environment: Occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions
