Equipment Engineer designs, develops, evaluates, and deploys manufacturing equipment, devices, and systems. Develops electrical control devices to convey materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. Being a Equipment Engineer integrates devices and instruments into the systems that measure and control environmental or material variations occurring during the manufacturing process. Ensures equipment and processes maintain throughput, yield, safety, and reliability objectives. Additionally, Equipment Engineer maintains an up-to-date knowledge of equipment vendors' changes, upgrades, and innovations. Prepares preventive maintenance plans and procedures for all equipment and provides technical support during maintenance or turnaround processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Equipment Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Promote WECI products and services throughout our entire territory. Actively pursue new projects in development and support design efforts.
Conduct calls, emails, and virtual meetings daily.
Interface with WECI Engineering team and Engineering firms to support and develop instrumentation sales in projects.
Use company CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) to maintain records of customer interactions, needs, and quotes.
Selects and sizes equipment and assists the consulting engineer in adjusting their design to accommodate the selected equipment. Provides installation recommendations and guidelines.
Preparation of estimates for the Project Team
Reviews project designs, plans, and specifications.
Provides detailed product information and pricing to consulting engineers and customers.
Updates estimates, schedules, reports, and documents based on revisions and changes to the project.
Assists with preparation of final project reports, designs, estimates, bids, and submittals.
Conducts a quality check of all documents and reports, verifying accuracy of data, information, and calculations.
Conducts technical presentations for consulting engineers and customers.
Accompanies and assists salespeople at customer sites and trade shows.
Occasional travel for sales and training.
