Equipment Director directs the management of company equipment including procurement activities, preventative maintenance, repair/replacement and safety assurance. Manages the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Being an Equipment Director minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Document and tracks equipment performance throughout the product lifetime. Additionally, Equipment Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Equipment Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Position Overview:
-Clean and service equipment such as excavators, skid steers, tractors etc.
-Help load/unload equipment
-Minor mechanical duties such as changing oil and other equipment maintenance
-Interact with customers
-Verify equipment is not damaged upon return
*Applicant must be able to squat, work outdoors, and occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
Potential for Advancement:
-Diesel Mechanic- you can receive on the job training to prepare you to be able to repair and service the various pieces of equipment
-Front Desk- If exceptional customer service skills are demonstrated you may be trained on customer service duties and be able to service customers requests either over the phone or in person.
-Delivery Driver- For workers with a clean driving record, and an interest in driving, there may be potential to advance to a delivery driver. Delivery drivers are responsible for safe and timely delivery and pick-up of rental equipment.
-Front-End Manager- For employees with advanced customer service, exceptional knowledge of the equipment, and a strong work ethic and reliability, you will be trained to manage and operate the store as a store manager.
