Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting equipment to customers' locations, showing customers how to properly operate equipment and handling paperwork. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles, including straight body trucks and pickup trucks with trailers
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Plan delivery routes using GPS or maps to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering equipment with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Collect payments from customers, if required
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of local roads and routes
- Ability to operate equipment ranging from a zero turn mower to an excavato.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading equipment
- Good time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
