Equipment Director directs the management of company equipment including procurement activities, preventative maintenance, repair/replacement and safety assurance. Manages the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Being an Equipment Director minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Document and tracks equipment performance throughout the product lifetime. Additionally, Equipment Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Equipment Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Equipment Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • SCOPE OF POSITION:
    An Installer I is responsible for completing various types of truck equipment installation while adhering to company and customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.



    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
    • Read job orders, job specifications, and layouts to plan and complete work procedures.
    • Identify issues and bring them to supervisor’s attention.
    • Ensures all equipment is in good repair, properly set up, and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use, including mandatory PPE.
    • Contribute to truck completions as necessary to complete builds and meet production targets.
    • Install equipment in assigned position, following blueprint and/or work order instructions, verifying conformance.
    • Drive commercial vehicles as needed.
    • Perform function tests.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
    • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs without assistance, including push and pull motions.
    • Ability to regularly lift and/or move over 50lbs with assistance, including push and pull motions.
    • Ability to use cranes and hoists.
    • Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling, on back, bending positions.
    • Ability to work with arms above head.
    • Ability to safely use hand, air, pneumatic, and power tools, and machinery.
    • Ability to understand and operate all safety equipment in the area.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
    • Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
    • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
    • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
    • Ability to use linear and other measuring devices.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
    • Knowledge of basic mathematics.
    POSITION CHARACTERISTICS
    • Education- GED/High School diploma
    • Experience- Prior mechanical background preferred.
    • Hazards include working with sharp objects or materials, heavy workloads or high noise (up to and over 85 decibels), and fumes and exposure to chemicals.
    • PPE: the company provides personal protective equipment as required by OSHA, including hearing, eye, head, hand, and foot protection.
    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions.
