Equipment Director directs the management of company equipment including procurement activities, preventative maintenance, repair/replacement and safety assurance. Manages the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Being an Equipment Director minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Document and tracks equipment performance throughout the product lifetime. Additionally, Equipment Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Equipment Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Equipment Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. We are a family-owned and operated company that has been in business since 2009, with four locations in KY, IN, and OH. This position will be located at our Franklin Furnace, OH dealership. We proudly sell and service equipment for Mahindra, Spartan, Bad Boy, New Holland, Liugong and more!

    The responsibilities of this shop technician are, but not limited to:

    • Performing proficient repairs on equipment (handheld power equipment, mowers, and tractors) on-site at the customer facility or at Cornerstone Equipment.
    • Performing PDI and PM inspections and repairs on equipment for the Sales and Service teams.
    • Occasionally running breakdowns for customers as needed.
    • Working with team members and customers in the resolution of disputes and opportunities
    • Protect organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Promoting long-term customer satisfaction.
    • Professional development through attendance at seminars, training courses, etc.
    • Involvement in open houses, info-seminars, trade shows and other customer related programs.
    • Work closely with other departments within the organization to resolve customer problems.
    • Ascertaining service problems and services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms, clarifying description of problems, conducting inspections, taking test drives, checking vehicle maintenance records, and examining service schedules.
    • Pickup / Deliver Customer equipment for service or sales.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    All employees are required to follow their Employee Handbook. Potential employees will be required to pass a drug test before being hired and are subject to random drug testing throughout their employment.

    All service techs must possess the following:

    -High school diploma with at least two years of additional schooling/training in field

    -Preferred two years of experience equipment service/repair or at least two years of equivalent training.

    -Their own tools (We will provide specialty tools, etc.)

    -A valid driver's license

    -Good verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate well with Managers and staff, as well as customers.

    -A positive attitude

    -Desire to acquire knowledge of the field every day in order to be better every day

    -Able to work 40 hours/ week, Monday-Friday: any time from 8:00am-6:00pm, Saturdays from 9:00am-1:00pm.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $19.00 - $29.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
