The Rental Equipment Technician is responsible for end-to-end service on rental equipment, including performing repairs, scheduled maintenance, and pre-delivery inspections. This position will also work through an established check-in process for rental equipment and manage the administrative duties related to all assigned rental equipment while providing the best customer service to our rental customers.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent Bailey as the primary point of contact for assigned rental equipment.
• Perform diagnostic inspections with customer input to effectively diagnose causes of failure.
• Perform repairs and all scheduled maintenance for assigned rental equipment.  
• Perform preventative maintenance on Bailey equipment at customer sites.  
• Manage the rental administrative process by following Bailey's established check-in process and receiving and processing all paperwork associated with rental equipment.  
• Perform pre-delivery inspections and make any necessary repairs to ensure all rental equipment is in good working condition prior to delivery.  
• Handle other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Education/Training/Experience:

• Technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs
• Minimum of one year of experience with rental equipment

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Strong mechanical skills 
• Great communication skills 
• Good, safe work habits 
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills 
• Able to work with minimal or no supervision in the field 

License(s) or Certification(s) Required:

• Valid Driver’s License 

Required PPE Equipment:  

• Steel toed, non-slip, work boots (boot reimbursement provided by Bailey).
