Equipment Director directs the management of company equipment including procurement activities, preventative maintenance, repair/replacement and safety assurance. Manages the records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements for the organization's equipment and tools. Being an Equipment Director minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Document and tracks equipment performance throughout the product lifetime. Additionally, Equipment Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Equipment Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Equipment Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • We are seeking an experienced senior Bulk Material Handling Engineer that will be a key resource in the development of front end and detail engineering activities. This candidate would be responsible for, as a minimum: • Translation of client product requirements into Supplier equipment specification and sizing • Owner and Supplier collaboration in development of an optimized plant layout utilizing current technologies • Development of system layout including material flows, equipment utilization, conveying and material handling equipment design, and operator optimization • Perform CAD layout of material handling systems • Development of baseline project documents including equipment costs, estimates, schedules, and facility and services written scopes • Perform front end studies such as cost vs. benefit analysis to determine most cost effective system application and layout • Development of Material Handling system design criteria and technical specifications • Develop equipment specifications, data sheets, and narratives to support the procurement of equipment • Develop Requisitions, perform bid analysis of Supplier quotes, and finalize purchasing documents. • Review Supplier designs to ensure compliance with specification requirements • Coordinate design activities with the associated disciplines and construction • Serve as a technical specialist and mentor to other engineers in a collaborative environment • Be a team leader and lead a team of more junior engineers in an interdisciplinary environment • Other duties as assigned• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and twenty (20) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner • Professional registration and active participation in technical society • Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials • Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting • Managing and leading a large project • Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out • Practical field experience • Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs• Professional registration and active participation in technical society • Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials • Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting • Managing and leading a large project • Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out • Practical field experience • Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs• Understanding of, and experience with, Bulk Material Processing operations and maintenance • Experience with: • Understanding of how to handle various bulk materials and their properties • Extensive knowledge of material handling equipment and specific usages based on the material being handled. • Development of Material Flow Diagrams and Overall System Layout • Conveying Equipment, Belt, Bucket, Screw Conveyors, etc. • Storage and Hopper design and transitions • Silo Design and interface with Material Handling System • Material Handling interfaces with equipment such as Rotary Kilns, Furnaces, and Crane transportation systems • General knowledge of overhead bridge cranes and lifting of canisters • CAD experience, ACAD, Solidworks, 3D CAD systems This position is designed to be performed at one of the Company’s main offices; however, a US remote or hybrid work arrangement may be considered for the preferred candidate
