Inspects the work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Environmental Services Coordinator maintains and updates environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Environmental Services Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Services Coordinator typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Coordinates procedural matters regarding the day-to day operations of a healthcare or administrative program.
Supports departmental initiatives by implementing and monitoring the progress of different projects, ensuring that goals and deadlines are met.
Plans and implements procedural changes and modifications for the project.
Monitors expenditures to ensure compliance within prescribed budget parameters.
Assists in the preparation of proposals or outreach publications.
Maintains or oversees the maintenance of project records, lists or files. Prepares related reports and performs evaluation of project effectiveness.
Provides information to staff and leadership regarding the policies and procedures of the project or department.
May provide or work directly with computer support for departmental/project objectives and determine appropriate software needed.
May prepare and coordinate seminars, workshops, luncheons and educational materials within the scope of the project/department.
May act as the University's representative for this field or specialty area when contacting other departments and outside organizations.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Add, This position supports the Environmental Services department for the Community Clinics which locations cover 5 counties, travel to 5 monthly team meetings is required. Mileage reimbursement is available with valid driver license and completion of a defensive driver course.
