Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The role of the Exploration Drilling and Environmental Maintenance Coordinator at American Gilsonite Company (AGC) is to provide critical support to the engineering team by assisting with various tasks related to mine planning, resource development, and project management.

The Engineering Technician plays a key role in ensuring the efficient execution of engineering projects while upholding AGC's commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities include but are limited to :

• Exploration Drilling Management :
• Plan and oversee AGC's drilling and exploration activities to support resource development, optimize recovery and assist with long-term mining plans.
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure drilling and exploration efforts align with AGC's objectives
• Ensure a smooth execution of drilling campaigns
• Manage drilling equipment, maintenance schedules, and logistics to optimize equipment utilization and maintain operational readiness
• Monthly Mine Surveys :
• Conduct monthly surveys of the mine sites to monitor the progress of mining.
• Collect data related to current mining progress
• Conduct survey needs as necessary
• Coordination with Engineering Manager :
• Collaborate with the Safety Manager to facilitate BLM (Bureau of Land Management) quarterly mine inspections.
• Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed during drilling and exploration activities to maintain a safe working environment.
• Environmental Field Monitoring :
• Perform environmental maintenance projects to ensure environmental compliance to minimize impacts to the surrounding environment.
• Collaborate with the Environmental Engineer to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Data Collection and Analysis :
• Collect, record, and analyze data from drilling and exploration activities, mine surveys, and environmental monitoring.
• Special Projects :
• Undertake special projects as assigned by the management team, such as conducting feasibility studies for potential mining areas, evaluating the efficiency of drilling methods, or exploring new technologies to enhance exploration processes.
