Environmental Services Coordinator coordinates and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Inspects the work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Environmental Services Coordinator maintains and updates environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Environmental Services Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Services Coordinator typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. The purpose of this position, based out of our Lancaster facility, is to perform tasks associated with hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, facility & equipment decontamination, above ground and underground tank cleaning activities, and confined space entry projects.
Responsibilities
1. Ensures that Health and Safety policies and processes are followed as well as acting in a safe manner at all times.
2. Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, pressure washers, skid loaders, and hand power tools.
3. Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.
4. Work in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive.
5. Working in confined spaces above & below ground and on & under equipment.
6. Working at elevations including working from ladders, scaffolding, and power lifts.
7. Completion of associated paperwork, including but not limited to daily worksheets, tailgate safety sheets, vehicle inspections. equipment inspections, and Health and Safety requirements & permits.
8. Effectively complete forms and read and understand procedures and safety information.
9. Drive company vehicle to and from customer worksite.
