Environmental Services Coordinator coordinates and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Inspects the work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Environmental Services Coordinator maintains and updates environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Environmental Services Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Services Coordinator typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Education: 4-year degree required. Environmental Science or Science major preferred. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an Associate's Degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, including but not limited to environmental, manufacturing, industrial or customer service sectors will be considered.
Experience: External: 2 years of relevant experience required, including but not limited to environmental, manufacturing, industrial or customer service sectors.
Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, including phone contact handling skills and be an active listener. Strong decision-making skills, writing skills, time management/organizational, and multi-tasking skills. Execute patience under pressure, stay polite even in stressful situations. Strong working knowledge of computers. Self-directed with the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines. Basic knowledge of DOT and RCRA Regulations and terms preferred. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
