Environmental Manager oversees the analysis and evaluation of air, water, and land systems to determine if pollutants are present and directs the implementation of appropriate corrective action if necessary. Develops and plans policies and procedures related to air, water, and land systems in accordance with organization and government rules and regulations. Being an Environmental Manager evaluates operations and makes recommendations to reduce waste or pollution. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Additionally, Environmental Manager typically reports to head of a unit/department. The Environmental Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Environmental Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Project Manager – Environmental Consulting

We are seeking a Project Manager in the DC Metro region to join our Environmental Consulting Division. This is a remote, out of office position – working out of clients’ sites. Travel is required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct due diligence projects including TSAs, Phase I/II ESAs, and RSRAs in accordance with ASTM International standards
    • Perform field activities and appropriate reporting for regulatory cases
    • Sampling of soil, groundwater, vapor, and indoor air
    • Knowledge of regulatory programs in the service region
    • Carry out reporting in accordance with state mandated regulatory requirements
    • Management of due diligence service line in the DC area (Washington DC, VA, MD)

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Must possess a B.S. in a related field such as Geology, Environmental Science, Geological Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or Environmental Engineering
    • Must meet qualifications as an Environmental Professional (EP) in accordance with 40 C.F.R. § 312.10(b). with a minimum of 5 years of experience
    • Must have a thorough understanding of ASTM 1527-21
    • Must be familiar with environmental regulations in MD/VA
    • Must have project management experience
    • Excellent computer skills
    • Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with ability to write clear, concise, and thorough environmental reports
    • Valid driver’s license with and a reliable vehicle
    • Ability to travel and work at various remote sites as needed
    • Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
    • OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operator Certification a plus
