Environmental Manager oversees the analysis and evaluation of air, water, and land systems to determine if pollutants are present and directs the implementation of appropriate corrective action if necessary. Develops and plans policies and procedures related to air, water, and land systems in accordance with organization and government rules and regulations. Being an Environmental Manager evaluates operations and makes recommendations to reduce waste or pollution. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Additionally, Environmental Manager typically reports to head of a unit/department. The Environmental Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Environmental Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     What it takes?

    • Previous experience with foundations, substation and/or transmission and distribution
    • 5-10 years of field experience (desired)
    • OSHA 500
    • Experience with claims management and incident investigations
    • A valid drivers license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record
    • Ability to work a flexible and varied work schedule, including nights and weekends
    • Ability to travel frequently from NY, NH, VT, ME, MA, CT and RI for extended periods of time
