Environmental Engineering Technician conducts analysis of soil, groundwater, or atmospheric samples to determine if pollutants are present and implements appropriate corrective action if necessary. Performs environmental compliance audits and risk assessments. Being an Environmental Engineering Technician requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. To be an Environmental Engineering Technician typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Previous experience in construction/remodeling a plus
- Ability to learn quickly & take on additional tasks
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Demonstrate the ability to manage time well and to multitask
- Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in confined spaces and heights
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions
