Environmental Engineering Technician conducts analysis of soil, groundwater, or atmospheric samples to determine if pollutants are present and implements appropriate corrective action if necessary. Performs environmental compliance audits and risk assessments. Being an Environmental Engineering Technician requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. - Laboratory experience (preferred)
DESCRIPTION- collect water samples from various facilities by following written protocols (in accordance with contract specifications);
- take field measurements of water (pH, temperature, etc.);
- record data carefully and completely;
- be able climb stairs and walk at least 3 miles per day;
- be able to lift at least 50 lbs.;
- perform other duties as assigned.
TRAVEL- Heavy travel schedule (~50%) in-state and out-of-state
SCHEDULE- Full-time
COMPENSATION- Base: $20.23 per hour
- Health and Welfare: $4.80 per hour
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS- Be a U.S. citizen
- Must have a driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must be comfortable with a flexible schedule arrangement
