Your Opportunity
Stantec, is seeking a mid-level engineering professional to join our Midwest group. This position will offer the right person significant opportunities for leadership and growth in the regional solid waste market. The location of this role is in Fargo, North Dakota. However, for the right candidate, there is opportunity for this position to be fulfilled remotely from another location within the Red River Valley region. In this role, the candidate will focus on both technical work and business development. Previous consulting or environmental engineering related experience is highly preferable.
Our solid waste group provides a wide range of professional consulting services to municipal, industrial, and commercial clients. Our projects range from waste management planning and permitting to design and construction and environmental monitoring of waste management facilities (landfills, recycling facilities, transfer stations). Our projects also include resource recovery endeavors (organic waste management, material recovery facilities, digestion, compost, land application, and waste to energy operations). Projects can also include wastewater and stormwater management.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, embrace teamwork, and have the desire to grow and develop professionally. This position will be involved in managing, performing, and supporting project work; developing business with public and private clients; and managing client relationships (seller / doer role). As part of our team, you will have an opportunity to contribute to our strategic direction, help us pursue our growth goals, and provide our clients with responsive, high quality customer service. Experience with general (non-solid waste) environmental regulations and civil engineering work is also a plus.

o Waste diversion analysis and alternatives (including waste characterization studies)

o Environmental Services, Due Diligence, and regulatory compliance.
