    SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION 
     
    Water & Environmental Technologies (WET) is an employee-owned, progressive, family-oriented consulting firm that provides high quality civil and environmental engineering services primarily in the Rocky Mountain region. WET is seeking a full-time civil engineer to support civil engineering projects in our Butte, Kalispell, or Great Falls offices. Civil Engineer must be self-motivated and able to independently apply fundamental engineering basics/design standards to projects. This person will be required to apply their engineering experience to a variety of  projects and effectively implement their knowledge into practical designs. This person will work with Project Managers and design teams to prepare project deliverables. Responsibilities will include engineering reports, design, quantity calculations, plan sheet development, construction administration and other project deliverables.  
     
    Responsibilities 

    • Sanitary Sewer collection system design. 

    • Stormwater treatment and storage. 

    • Water system pumping facilities and distribution design. 

    • Design of roads, parking lots, subdivisions, and site-developments 

    • Utilize design software to apply engineering standards of design.  

    • Ability to understand and assist in the preparation of construction plans and specifications. 

    • Perform construction administration tasks such as project bidding, construction inspection/oversight, documentation of daily activities, materials testing, and interaction with contractors, subcontractors, residents, and others. 

    • Review for quality assurance and quality control to ensure compliance with WET standards.  

    • Convey design analysis and results effectively in written reports and documentation.  

    • Utilize effective written and oral communication. 

    • Travel to WET job sites, and other WET offices, as necessary.  

    • Be safety conscious at all times. 

     
    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University. 

    • If not licensedthe ability to obtain an EI certification or PE license within one year of employment. 

    • Basic MS Office skills including, but not limited to, Word and Excel. 

    • Basic AutoCAD Civil 3D skills. 

    • Valid Montana Driver’s License and clean driving record required. 

    Preferences 

    • 5 years experience is preferred, but not required. 

    • A Montana PE license is preferred, but not required. 

    • Survey experience and materials testing certifications.  

     

    Salary will be based on experience. WET offers a competitive benefit package that includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
