    NOVA Engineering is seeking an Environmental Engineer / Geologist / Scientist for our Kennesaw, GA office. Primary responsibilities will include: day­-to-day execution of project assignments and consultation to our Clients associated with environmental services (Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, Corrective Action Plans, Brownfields Applications, HSRA Notifications, etc.) throughout the Atlanta metropolitan statistical area (MSA).

    We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. This candiate can be an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist with due diligence experience. This position offers excellent pay, commensurate with experience and tremendous benefits package. NOVA has a strong backlog of work, having recently been awarded many of the highest - profile projects in the southeast. 

    Duties:

    • Perform Environmental field activities including: Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Phase II Remediation field activities, Indoor Air Quality activities (mold, asbestos, lead-based paint), and underground storage tank removals
    • Preparing and executing reports and other client correspondence
    • Providing oversight, QA/QC, analysis, laboratory testing and field services as required to meet our Clients’ expectations
    • Project Management and business development duties
    • Cross-train with NOVA's other service lines
    • Mentor junior staff and review reports

    Requirements:

    •  Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Sciences Degree
    • 5 years’ experience with due diligence projects (Phase I, II)
    • OSHA HAZWOPER certification is preferred
    • Good communications and reporting skills
    • Project management experience
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
    • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
    • Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a background check and MVR report

    Preferred:

    • Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) or Lead-based paint certifications
    • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) are preferred, but not required
