Being an Environmental Compliance Specialist requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Environmental Compliance Specialist relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.     The individual should have basic experience and regulatory knowledge in all or some of the service areas listed below:
    * Air permitting
    * Storm water/SWPPP
    * RCRA/Hazardous waste
    * Compliance auditing
    * Oil Storage/SPCC plans
    * SARA Title III (Tier II/TRI) reporting
    * Industrial wastewater
    * Sustainability

    Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
    * Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables
    * Manage projects within budgets and ensure quality and timeliness
    * Develop an understanding of the local and regional market
    * Develop strong working relationships with clients
    * Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client requests
    * Participate in the development of local and regional marketing strategies
    * Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines
    * Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations

    Requirements:
    * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an environmental-related discipline.
    * 3-5 years of experience in a full-time regulatory compliance consulting role.
    * Demonstrated solid technical writing ability.
    * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
    * Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history

    Preferred Requirements:
    * Engineer with P.E. or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
    * 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-Hr refresher
    * Master's degree
