Environmental Compliance Specialist conducts required environmental tests, analysis and observations. Evaluates results and makes recommendations as necessary for maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. Being an Environmental Compliance Specialist requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Environmental Compliance Specialist relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.     Providence is calling a Compliance Specialist who will:

    • Provide compliance and privacy program support to management across Providence St. Joseph Health and its Affiliates in furtherance of our mission and to provide an effective compliance program
    • Be expected to possess mid-level skills in investigative and research techniques and practices
    • Develop greater expertise in certain regulatory, compliance and privacy topics
    • Work with highly sensitive information
    • Be Responsible for supporting Providence St. Joseph Health and its affiliates, including hospitals, physician clinics, skilled nursing facilities, health plan, medical foundations, educational institutions, child care centers, in-home services, and Providence Strategic Management Services (PSMS).
    • Be required to travel, travel may include some overnights and routine inter-facility commuting

    This position is considered to be a Hybrid role working a combination of in office, hospital and work from home as scheduled. Providence welcomes residents to apply that live within a commutable distance (30-40 miles) of our office locations listed below:

    • Montana: Missoula, Polson

    Required qualifications for this position include:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or another related field of study -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
    • Progressive experience in one or more of the following areas: RIS Internal Audits, Information Security, Compliance / Privacy Experience in a healthcare or another work setting, Health Information Management, Accreditation Services, Revenue Cycle Services
