Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises engineers who develop, implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Primarily responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and protocols, leading safety training programs, and investigate incidents and accidents and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance for a safe construction environment.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related area.
    • 3 – 5 years of experience in construction safety management roles.
    • OSHA 30 - Hour Construction Occupational Safety and Health certification or equivalent.
    • OSHA 510 - Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry certification or equivalent.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in the construction industry.
    • Good understanding of Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.
    • Microsoft office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel).
    • Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.


    Essential Functions  

    • Develop and implement safety policies and protocols to ensure a safe construction environment.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards at construction sites.
    • Lead safety training and development programs for construction personnel.
    • Investigate incidents and accidents and recommend corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations specifically tailored to construction.
    • Review and maintain compliance with government regulations and ordinances.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.
