Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises engineers who develop, implement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Additionally, Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Required Skills:*

    • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Material Sc. or related Engineering field. MS or MBA degree is desirable. (will consider without degree if extensive Metrology quality engineering experience with Automated NDT programming)
    • Prefer 10 years of experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment.
    • Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma Certification.
    • Knowledge of blueprints and airfoil specifications, Laue, and ultrasonic wall inspection
    • Strong Metrology knowledge, CMM programming, Blue light layout, Laser measurement system, other automated NDT inspection system

    Position Summary:
    The Quality Engineering Supervisor is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality management systems within our organization. This position involves leading a team of quality engineers and technicians to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. The Quality Engineering Supervisor will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of quality excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality-related challenges.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the quality engineering team, including goal setting, performance management, and professional development.
    • Quality Management Systems (QMS): Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust quality management systems in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.).
    • Quality Assurance Processes: Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes throughout the product lifecycle, from design and development through manufacturing and delivery.
    • Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes.
    • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with procurement and supplier management teams to evaluate supplier quality performance and implement supplier improvement programs.
    • Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer feedback and address quality-related concerns promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to product quality and ensure compliance across all functional areas.
    • Quality Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure quality performance, analyze trends, and prepare regular reports for management review.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to integrate quality considerations into all aspects of the business.
    • Audits and Assessments: Coordinate internal and external audits, including customer audits, regulatory inspections, and third-party assessments.
    • Training and Development: Provide training and support to employees on quality management principles, tools, and methodologies.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification in quality management is desirable.
    • Proven experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or a related industry.
    • Strong understanding of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, SPC, etc.).
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve quality objectives.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques for quality improvement.
    • Experience with quality management software systems is a plus.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
    • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.

    Pay: $71,500.00 - $105,000.00 per year
