Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager plans, develops and manages company policies for adhering to local, state and federal environment, health and safety regulations. Designs and develops facilities, work areas and work procedures. Being an Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager directs preparation, maintenance, and updating of environmental policy and procedure manuals. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Summit Health, Safety, and Industrial Hygiene Services (www.summithsih.com) is seeking a part time Project Safety Manager near Boise. We will hire this person directly, including someone who has their own LLC.
Our team can facilitate a very flexible schedule and are open to work with candidates who may have ongoing responsibilities elsewhere, as long as no conflicts are identified. This position is anticipated to work up to 10 hours per week but may fluctuate and could grow. We anticipate most of this work will be at Client locations but remote support will occasionally be required from this individual's home or personal office.
We will offer the right candidate $40.00/hour for support. Work will be based on contract awards and will not follow a standard work schedule. The position may involve:
This individual must have significant experience in OSHA programs, field support, and have a strong ability to use Microsoft products. Construction safety experience is desired. This individual should be well versed in editing and writing of documents. A writing sample may be requested prior to employment.
A bachelor’s degree is required in Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, or similar technical field. A minimum of six years of experience is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
