Env., Health, and Safety Engineering Manager plans, develops and manages company policies for adhering to local, state and federal environment, health and safety regulations.     ISYS Technologies is seeking an ICBM CTF Flight Test Safety Engineer to join our group to support our customer in Vanderberg, CA. This is a mid-Level position located at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), as part of the ICBM Combined Test Force (CTF), the Test Engineer will provide telemetry data analysis engineering support of Sentinel ICBM (formally GBSD) flight test activities. This position supports  ICBM Operational Test and Evaluation Team, will be on site at Vanderberg AFB, CA and will require an active Top Secret Clearance.  Flight Test Safety Engineer responsibilities 
    • Serve as primary CTF unit test safety officer for ICBM flight test activities.
    • Advocate and participate in the developmental test & evaluation planning and oversight at VSFB for flight testing to assess performance against stated program requirements
    • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases
    • Work with CTF Flight Test Lead to ensure proper safety planning is conducted
    • In coordination with the program office and prime contractor develop, review, and execute test safety plans for all areas relating to VSFB flight testing
    • Perform test unique hazard analysis associated with VSFB ICBM flight test activities
    • Support use of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) applications and agile techniques in T&E of the weapon system
    • Support the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test procedures, technical and safety review boards (TRB/SRBs), test readiness reviews (TRRs), and test assessment reports
    • Coordinate with VSFB range safety personnel to integrate CTF and SPO test personnel into flight test planning and execution decisions
    • Assess test support and systems integration progress and trends of testing, identify problems and areas of concern for assigned systems
    • Support integration and advancement of government assessment tools through advocacy for technical approaches and development of specific tools to enable assessment
    • Maintain cognizance of all assigned Combined Test Force (CTF)/Test Team engineering activities
    • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Integrated Test Teams (ITTs) as appropriate
    • Provide technical support and advocate integrated approaches of engineering efforts and support of test activities for which existing guidelines may not be available or applicable
    • Serve as a test team participant in the development of overall plans such as the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), System Test -Plan (STP), Developmental Test (DT) Report, recommendation for IOT&E readiness, and other technical documents

    Qualifications

    Flight Test Safety Engineer Education and Qualifications:
    • Active Top Secret Clearance
    • Bachelor of Science degree in applicable discipline OR Associates degree in applicable discipline with four years direct work experience OR six years direct experienceMaster of Science degree in applicable discipline desired but not required
    • A minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in related fields
    • Familiarity with test & evaluation safety planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies
    • Demonstrated expertise flight test safety processes
    • Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level
    • Utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
    • Focused adherence to safety and security requirements
    • Prior experience with confined space, solid rocket motors, on-board test equipment helpful
    • Knowledge of Vandenberg range requirements (Range Safety, 576 FLTS, Frequency clearance, etc) highly desired
    • Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing highly desired
    • Previous work experience in a Range Safety, Lead Developmental Test and Evaluation Organization (LDTO), or Operational Test Organization (OTO) environment helpful
    • Available to travel up to 10%

Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
