Membership Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Membership Manager to join our team. As the Membership Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones. You will play a crucial role in driving business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provides excellent written and oral communications with existing and potential new members by providing excellent membership service;
· Drafts and produces correspondence, emails, website content, articles, reports, and summaries.
· Actively listens to members to identify their needs and offer guidance; Investigates and resolves or escalates issues, as appropriate.
· Coordinates renewals, processes new applications, and oversees membership meetings including agenda development.
· Tracks lapsed memberships and provides timely outreach to ensure payment and renewals.
· Monitors and works closely with association volunteers and team members to ensure that membership applications submitted in response to promotion campaigns are processed as directed;
· Enters, monitors, and maintains comprehensive and accurate information for members, some of which includes address and other contact information, dues payment, demographic information, areas of operations, and other appropriate information in the membership database;
· Collaborates with team members to ensure that all changes to member and potential member records have been accounted for and reviewed; works to maintain the integrity of the database system of record. Ensure billing and payment of membership dues through use of association database;
· Oversee and provide content for association’s social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram);
· Coordinates and compiles report and data on member benefit usage and tracks membership trends for reporting to the Board of Directors and appropriate committees. Set committee agenda and oversee monthly Zoom committee meetings.
· Supports Senior Manager in a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks related to membership and events, including assisting with organizing and maintaining files and other relevant documents in an organized and timely manner. Assist with off-site association meetings held in January, June, and July;
· Organizes content and advertisements for monthly e-newsletter;
· Grow our membership through innovative marketing campaigns and direct outreach.;
· Work with association Royalty Partner companies to provide and enhance member benefit offerings;
· Performs the essential functions of the position and other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director.
Requirements and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Associates Degree preferred, will consider others based on applicable experience;
· 1-3 years of related professional experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills including spelling, grammar, and customer service skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to communicate with individuals in an enthusiastic, passionate, and persuasive manner to promote membership and activism.
· High level of accuracy and attention to details in the performance of tasks and functions.
· Ability to prioritize, follow through on multiple tasks, and work independently.
· Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
· Willing and able to travel in support of Membership activities, including association live events.
· Proficient in MS Office with a strong knowledge of Excel and experience with database programs or CRM.
· Demonstrated and appropriate experience with social media channels.
· Working knowledge or experience with Canva (or willingness to be trained).
· Basic knowledge of Web content management.
