Enterprise Operations Director directs information systems operations and for software systems analysis and programming. Monitors accessibility of applications or services. Being an Enterprise Operations Director leads implementation and maintenance of enterprise-wide system tools and ensures scalability. Implements and maintains operating policies to mitigate risk.     Old Spokes Home seeks an executive director for our shop in Burlington’s Old North End. We are a nonprofit community bike shop with a mission to transform lives and communities by creating access to bikes for all.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary $75,000 to $85,000

    • xx days of paid vacation, health insurance, retirement plan. and other benefits.

    • Full time; 90% on site

    Our retail, service, and training operations are moving into their next phase of growth and program development, with equity and justice at their core. As our next executive director, you’ll lead us in realizing the full potential of our clear and focused mission, our engaged and effective team, and our amazing shop space.

    The ideal candidate will possess most or all of the following qualifications:

    • Experience as a manager over multiple years with increasing levels of responsibility

    • Proven nonprofit fundraising knowledge and success

    • Demonstrated leadership skills in complex, fast-moving organizations

    • Empathetic leadership with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

    • Enthusiasm for bicycles and bicycling, in whatever form that takes for you

    • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills

    We’re open year-round, with a busy season from mid-March through mid-October. Located in Burlington, Vermont, we have a staff of twelve and a budget of just over $1 million.
