Job Description Summary
Over the last eight years, Enterprise's team in Detroit has been working with local government agencies, affordable housing developers, community development organizations, and other partners to increase access to opportunity through system improvements and transformational changes to policy, programs, and investment strategies. Our major initiatives promote housing stability by preserving and producing affordable housing and tenant protections, increased capacity and organizational sustainability for community development organizations (CDOs), and cross-sector initiatives to advance economic mobility and sustainability.Job Description
Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple of Detroit core programs, as described above
Lead program execution with an eye towards meeting all programmatic goals and funder deliverables.
Develop and advance programmatic strategies to improve Detroit neighborhoods and ensure equitable revitalization.
Manage program budgets inclusive of resource allocation and disbursements.
Partner with Enterprise's Resource Development and Communications group to actively identify and raise funds to scale core programs. Prepare fundraising progress and activity reports as required by internal customers and funders.
Manage relationships with a range of partners, both internal and external, including other Enterprise departments, affordable housing developers and owners, community-based organizations, public sector agencies, and private funding organizations.
Coordinate with national Enterprise colleagues to pursue media and communications opportunities to disseminate programmatic findings.
Manage external stakeholders at senior and executive levels.
Manage the performance of staff, with a focus on career development and DEI through goal setting, ongoing assessment, and coaching.
Work with Enterprise Detroit and National team colleagues to administer grants for approximately 40 nonprofits annually.
Work with CDAD and other partners to analyze CDO capacity-building needs and assist with designing a strategy for addressing those needs through technical assistance and local service provider partnerships.
Report to funders and assist with evaluation of the CDO and ECDO Funds; adapt grantmaking program requirements and reporting based on feedback from funders and grantees.
Qualifications:
10 years of experience in the fields of resident services, community development, public policy, or government. Experience in working with community development organizations is highly desirable.
Five years of management experience.
4-year/bachelor's degree: Undergraduate degree: graduate degree preferred and may substitute for up to two (2) years of experience.
