    The Director of Fleet Customer Support ensures that TEL fleet customers enjoy a “best-in-class” experience when operating their equipment.  Creating an environment that exemplifies the TEL Vision and Values of being “a dynamic incubator of next generation transportation entrepreneurs”.  This includes cultivating meaningful partnerships with key dealer network partners, national account programs, and OEM service providers.  
     
    Responsibilities
    • Periodic review of TEL contracts to insure both TEL and client interests are protected and in compliance.
    • Monitor PM due reports and communicate to fleet operators any deficiencies or default of contract.
    • Manage the payment deferment/upgrade process thru close interaction with coordinators, operators, lease sales, and accounting.
    • Work closely with OEM service reps to expedite critical down cases, manage costs, warranty, and policy
    • Coach & counsel coordinators on best maintenance practices for routine and emergency situations.
    • Closely monitor operator escrow accounts for proper balances and use of funds.
    • Monitor breakdown case volumes/frequency/duration and adjust staffing accordingly.
    • Manage the department P&L statement through proper revenue recognition, cost controls and margin attainment.
    • Support the Fleet Leasing sales organization in vetting, on-boarding, and growing the Fleet Support program.
    • Maintain a support network for each OEM that can be leveraged to expedite and mitigate costs of down equipment.
    • Analyze data collected related to repair frequency and dwell time to support future equipment decisions.
    • Participate in a quarterly business review with each OEM to review frequency, dwell time, parts pricing, and on-going issue resolution.
    • Ongoing support and education of TEL Maintenance coordinators and Lease Advisors as it relates to proper maintenance of leased equipment.
    • Provide support and guidance as primary POC for cases that need escalated from the lease maintenance group.
    • Meeting divisional performance requirements as set by the executive team
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with company management and cross-functional teams
    • Develop contingency plans to deal with critical situations and emergencies.
    • Perform other special projects as required.
    Requirements
    • BA, BS, or Technical Degree and equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 10 years in commercial truck fleet maintenance and/or purchasing
    • Strong understanding of commercial truck repair process
    • Strong experience with commercial truck dealer network
    • Deep understanding of commercial truck warranty / policy / goodwill process
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Proven ability to build productive business relationships and achieve consensus-based outcomes.
    • Proven ability to work under pressure while producing accurate output.
    • Proven ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple activities and competing deadlines.
    • Proven ability to work cross-functionally at all levels.
    • Demonstrated ability to build successful internal and external business relationships.
    • Strong professional presence along with excellent written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages a plus.
    • To be effective, the position requires high energy, excellent analytical skills, strong work ethic, good communication, writing, organization, and system (SalesForce, Excel and Power Point) skills. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
