Enterprise Infrastructure Manager manages and coordinates the information systems that will adequately support the organization's enterprise infrastructure. Monitors and manages all IT infrastructure projects to meet company and client needs. Being an Enterprise Infrastructure Manager determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, ensuring the scalability of infrastructure design to handle expected growth. Implements policies and procedures to maintain, enhance, and secure an organization's technology infrastructure. Additionally, Enterprise Infrastructure Manager is responsible for monitoring the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance. May assist in network interface planning, hardware resource availability, and the development of new applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Enterprise Infrastructure Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Enterprise Infrastructure Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Description: This position reports to the Manager of the Infrastructure Project Management Team and will work closely with the infrastructure teams, stakeholders, and vendors on various infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following: Excellent organizational, presentation, and communications skills Knowledge of infrastructure technical acumen Ability to align projects with the organization’s strategic goals Identify complex problems and technical details then communicate information into words the intended audience will be able to comprehend Drive collaboration, lead, and influence multiple teams at different levels and across cultural barriers to solve business problems Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology and/or Electronics and Communications or equivalent 10 years of managing, leading, guiding, and developing people within a team environment. 10 years managing projects following a project management standard such as Project Management Institute (PMI), in addition to holding a Project Management Certification Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to gather and analyze the needs of projects and drive the requirements through the project management phases Manage multiple complex projects utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to facilitate discussion, negotiation, and decisions Drive process optimization and identify opportunities for improving our service offerings while considering security, scalability, and reliability Be a team player and assist where needed on projects English and German language skills Experience: 10 years’ in Information Technology and/or Electronics and Communications or equivalent 10 years of project management 10 years of people management Travel Time: 0% - 25% At Microchip, employees are our greatest strength.
