ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Works under the direction of an assigned manager to oversee the administration of the service delivery, data center, network, and telecommunication activities. Ensures IT programs meet division goals and requirements. Provides work direction, assignment of duties, evaluation of work performance, and discipline of assigned staff. Directs programs to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all service delivery methods. Provides continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and works cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service. Collaborates with partners and stakeholders to achieve project deliverables and meet goals. Partners with other divisional managers to ensure resources and projects are aligned. Manages contract service level agreements. Maintains and updates budgets as operations progress. Identifies potential issues and guides team through risk mitigation planning. Facilitates development of the division's operational needs and project plans to manage them from inception to completion. Reviews high-level deliverables across the service centers in the divisions. Monitors all moving parts of the department's operations progress keeping them synchronized and moving forward. Provides and administer policies, procedures, tools and technologies to the department. Prepares and reviews proposals and quotes for the division as assigned or deemed necessary. Provides technical guidance and recommendations to operational issues. Researches and recommends solutions to operational needs. Analyzes data and produces progress reports for the division. Fosters positive and productive client relationships.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Involves contact with division management, City staff, end users, technical support and executive management. Involves contact with various consulting firms, outside vendors and solutions providers. Requires independent travel to offices throughout the City.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a closely related field and ten (10) years of professional experience in network operations, service delivery and/or data center operations with at least eight (8) of the ten (10) in a supervisory capacity; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must possess and maintain a valid driver license as a condition of continued employment.
