Infrastructure Design Group, Inc. is a civil engineering and land surveying services firm providing professional services to public and private clients throughout eastern South Dakota, southwest Minnesota, and northwest Iowa. We provide professional engineering, surveying, and consulting services to local municipalities, county and state DOT’s, and other state departments, as well as private sector clients. We are currently seeking applicants for an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to be located in our Sioux Falls, Mitchell or Watertown, SD office.
Primary duties of the Civil Engineering Technician include working with engineers, surveyors, and technicians to complete engineering designs, drawings, layouts, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided drafting software. Work also entails field investigations, inspections, and surveying. We are interested in a motivated individual capable of taking on multiple responsibilities as a team player.
Qualifications
Civil Engineering Technician position requires an AAS degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required. Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required and experience with Microstation/InRoads is also preferred. Also requires a good working knowledge of construction documents and technical knowledge.
The ideal candidate shall be self-motivated, organized, able to communicate effectively both written and orally, able to work in a team environment, and have strong interpersonal skills.
