The mission of the Allen Institute Central IT Team is to provide support and structure to the scientific divisions. Coinciding with the team science approach, administration helps facilitate team learning and the overall mission of the institute.
The Enterprise IT infrastructure Manager is responsible for the security, availability, durability, and uptime of Allen Institute IT infrastructure supporting enterprise services, networking, and data center facilities. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be contributing alongside your team with a focus on IT infrastructure project delivery, technical strategy, and systems architecture for institute hardware, cloud solutions, and network technologies. You will provide implementation oversight of scalable solutions that overcome both technology and business challenges. In this position, you will drive a culture of collaboration and partnership with teams inside and outside of technology.
The ability to work a flexible off-hours schedule for planned and unplanned maintenance is required. Team coverage includes rotating on-call duties and responding to production incidents within established SLAs providing 24/7/365 support as needed. This will be an approximately 80% management, 20% hands-on technical role.
