Enterprise Infrastructure Director manages and coordinates the information systems that will adequately support the organization's enterprise infrastructure. Monitors and manages all IT infrastructure projects to meet company and client needs. Being an Enterprise Infrastructure Director determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, ensuring the scalability of infrastructure design to handle expected growth. Implements policies and procedures to maintain, enhance, and secure an organization's technology infrastructure. Additionally, Enterprise Infrastructure Director is responsible for monitoring the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance. May assist in network interface planning, hardware resource availability, and the development of new applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Enterprise Infrastructure Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     As the Enterprise Infrastructure Director for the Cloud Center of Enablement within PNC's Office of the CTO, you will be based in Phoenix, AZ. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

    As PNC expands and raises the bar on our cloud strategy, we are adding leadership talent to address these initiatives. In leading this pivotal function within enterprise technology, you and your team will:

    • Plan Cloud Transformation and Strategy – Creating the transformation roadmap will be a key initiative aligned to the cloud strategy and investments, maximize cloud benefits, enhance customer experience, and minimizes business disruption during the transformation.
    • Govern Costs and Optimize PNC’s Cloud Portfolio – Efficiently manage, govern, and optimize cost containment for complex and varied cloud environments, rightsizing all services according to their actual utilization.
    • Manage and Report Cloud Transformation – Provide an overview of the current application and technology infrastructure landscape and its dependencies to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
    • Implement and Lead Enterprise-wide Cloud Transformation Policies – Establish guidelines and standards for cloud security, compliance, and cost control.
    • Serve as the Internal Cloud Advisor and Guide – Build a bridge between stakeholders to ensure alignment with regards to goals, timelines and budgets exist. Guide internal users in their selection process of the right cloud providers, services, and migration strategies (rehost, replatform, retain, retire, refactor, repurchase).
    • Subject Matter Expert with Cloud Technologies – Bring up-to-date solutions, tracking changes within the cloud technologies to optimize the cloud portfolio and save costs.
    • Manage Cloud Security and Compliance Risks – Security and regulatory requirements are changing fundamentally due to the cloud. Defining and applying corporate security standards in all aspects of cloud architecture and ongoing operational support.

    • Directs the strategies, initiatives, policies and programs for global infrastructure development, processes and teams support and management.
    • Drives infrastructure planning, development strategies and initiatives; determines current and future enterprise infrastructure needs.
    • Communicates with vendors, suppliers and executive management to ensure availability of infrastructure technologies and support.
    • Leads the development and adoption of best practices for technology architecture and management.
    • Directs, motivates, develops and oversees the performance of the management team and key staff.

    IT Systems Management – Knowledge of and ability to utilize a variety of technical tools and techniques to guarantee service availability and ensure IT system performance.

    System and Technology Integration – Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems, and the ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.

    Work Experience

    Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree and higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications. Industry -relevant experience is typically 8 years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a large scope of responsibility is required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
