We are currently seeking a highly qualified Director of Business Architecture to join our Information Services team here at Altria. We are open to remote work arrangements.
You will serve as the leader in redefining Altria’s end-to-end business architecture framework. This role will be critical in the driving “world class vision” for a digital enterprise. Using this platform, you will collaborate with senior leaders to build and implement a roadmap for the implementation of business capabilities that are seamlessly integrated and improve the value of process and data integration. You will need to understand the complexities of the organization, processes, information, and technologies to craft future-state architectural solutions to best realize the organization strategy. You will use deep technology architecture skills to collaborate with the IS Account Teams and business teams. This role will also be accountable for leading and growing an organization of about 10-12 highly skilled resources (plus additional external resources) with deep expertise in implementing sophisticated technology solutions to meet business needs. This role is foundational for any new Digital/Innovation technology implementation across multiple business domains.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Senior Leaders to build and maintain a business architectural framework that is the enabler for Altria’s digital transformation
• Collaboratively drive innovation with the CTO, CISO and IS Account Team organizations to provide groundbreaking solutions enabled by the right technology
• Understand business drivers and business capabilities (Future & Current state) and determine corresponding enterprise system design and change requirements to drive the organization’s targeted business outcomes.
• Create technology roadmaps through partnership with partners and technology leadership
• Develop business architecture work to help business leaders identify and make IT investment decisions.
• Generate ideas and solutions to enhance business processes by being an active business partner to the Altria’s IS Account Team leaders
• Partner in conceptualizing and delivering POC’s that demonstrate the potential value of technology solutions to senior leaders and influence their alignment
• Establish key external partnerships that bring the “outside in” thinking to Altria in terms of standard process implementations
• Lead senior management and outsourced consulting services throughout the business architectural process
• Build an effective hard-working, diverse, highly technical, and versatile team to achieve business goals
• Drive process optimization using industry standard processes, enabling teams to implement improvements to deliver world class coverage and support.
• Collaborate with the leadership within the Data Architecture function within Altria’s Advanced Analytics organization
• Coach, mentor and collaborate with other architects and peers to develop an enterprise architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities and operating models.
• Provide direction, guidance, and training for a staff of about 10 internal resources and 5 external resources
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• demonstrated ability working in various IT functions, supervising technology teams, and being responsible for large information technology projects
• Demonstrated experience in driving large scale digital transformation through effective implementation of business architecture-based solutions
• Experience with integrating solutions for on premise and cloud-based technology infrastructure
• Experience implementing extensive digital supply chain, e-commerce and retail integration solutions
• Experience with the implementation of scalable business architecture strategies to support a growing heterogeneous business network
• Experience working with multiple external partners (onsite, near shore, offshore)
• Extensive experience in using architecture standards and frameworks.
• Skilled at influencing, guiding, and facilitating partners and peers with decision making.
• A solid understanding of IoT, automation frameworks and integration methods
• CPG industry experience a plus.
