Salary: $35.97 – 50.65 per hour, payable bi-weekly.

The salary scale for this position is between steps 0 and 19, depending on experience.  This is an exempt, 40 hours per week. Applicants must pass an extensive background check.

Country Doctor Community Health Centers (CDCHC) is a not-for-profit organization that operates two primary care clinics, an After-Hours Clinic, two School-Based Health Centers, a low barrier Medication-assisted treatment clinic, and a Dental Clinic. Our Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded in 1970 by the Seattle Black Panther Party in Seattle’s Central District. Our Country Doctor Community Clinic was established in 1971 by residents of the Capital Hill neighborhood in conjunction with the Seattle Liberation Front. The primary goal of each clinic was to provide low-barrier, high-quality healthcare services and promote social justice.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Billing Supervisor oversees revenue cycle functions, insurance enrollment, financial counseling, patient accounts receivable management, and customer service. This position improves Finance's integration with internal customers across the organization and supervises Billing and Eligibility staff. The Supervisor also assists in managing strategic initiatives and acts as a liaison with Revenue Cycle Supervisors and Clinical teams.

You’ll need these qualifications

• You’re comfortable working with people from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and lifestyles

• You have at least five years billing, customer service/front desk and client care coordination experience in a medical clinic or health care environment
• You have at least two years supervisory /manager experience 

• You have knowledge of payment posting and reconciliation process within Electronic Health Record
• Experienced in project management, meeting facilitation, and training, and can demonstrate strong Microsoft office skills.

• You are able supervise, schedule and prioritize the work of staff.  
• You have experience with claims processing, Appeal and Denial management, as well as familiar with ICD 9, ICD 10, CPT codes and medical terminology terms.

It would be nice if

• You had experience working with EPIC (EMR)
• You have experience working with a Federally Qualified Health Center
• You speak a second language
