We are seeking an eager, detail-oriented insurance billing representative to join our growing team! Our ideal candidate has a working knowledge of the insurance industry, strong communication skills, a passion for collaborating with others, and a knack for problem-solving.

While previous work experience as a billing specialist working with clients, coordinating payment plans, or resolving billing issues is helpful, we support our team members in honing their recordkeeping skills to take a customer service approach to billing.

$55,000 - $69,000 plus benefits

Responsibilities :

• Review client bills for accuracy and completeness and proactively obtain any missing payer information for inclusion
• Issue refunds, transfer of responsibility, and adjustments, as needed, and update accounting records
• Field customer and colleague questions about account activity, status, and outstanding balances
• Work proactively to resolve and resubmit unpaid, rejected, or denied insurance claims
• Reconcile billing, prepare invoices, compile financial records using billing software and field related questions with internal teams and customers

Qualifications :

• Proficiency with financial management software is needed for this role
• Must display a proven track record of meeting firm deadlines and serving as a results-oriented professional
• Research and problem-solving skills are required to facilitate collections, fix errors, and assess denials
• Must have a basic understanding of financial fundamentals including accounting, billing, and collections processes
• Must live within daily driving distance of the office
• Must have working rights in the USA
• Accounts receivable management experience required, quickbooks a plus
