Job Description: The Director, reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs manages the recruitment efforts of the college recruiting. In addition, the Director manages the Concurrent Credit and AR Works Career Coach programs. Supervises and develops staff, develops and monitors the department’s budget. Establishes procedures for recruiting operations and works closely with the Admission and Advising Office to ensure smooth prospect to student transition. Develops and submits grant applications for AR Works Career Coach Program. Develops and submits Concurrent Credit Memoranda of Agreement with participating school districts. Establishes and monitors policies and procedures in admissions testing, transcript review, applications processing, admission interviewing, and recruiting correspondence. Plays a key role in establishing special recruitment/admissions programs for traditional, nontraditional, and international students. Develops and delivers presentations to the community and at conferences.
Knowledge, Abilities, And Skills: Knowledge of modern admissions and recruiting practices, sales and marketing techniques, management practices, and budget development. Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders; interpreting and implementing policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records in compliance with professional standards and federal and state regulations. Nurture positive working relationships with other colleges, universities, and high schools. Work closely with other departments at all levels. Ability to schedule complex events on campus and off campus. Adept at writing and delivery of speeches to high school, business groups, and general public.
Meet enrollment goals for our six-county service area. Develop and maintain the admission’s office recruitment and marketing plan. Develop, maintain, and execute the department’s communication plans for prospective and admitted students. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, 3-5 years’ experience in college admissions, advising student recruitment, or marketing/sales. Strong PC-based computer skills. Excellent interpersonal, writing, and speaking skills. In-depth knowledge of SEARK College, and Ellucian Recruit Software. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, upon approval of the Qualifications Review Committee.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. Previous experience in an educational institution’s admissions, marketing, or recruitment office.
