Engineering Aide assists engineers with technical tasks and project support. Sets up equipment and monitors tests and experiments. Being an Engineering Aide observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with. Additionally, Engineering Aide typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Engineering Aide may require 0-1 year of general work experience. The City of Overland Park has a full-time Engineering Aide position available in the Public Works Department.
Summary:
Supports street infrastructure evaluation activities in the Public Works Engineering Division to include: inspection, mapping and data entry to maintain infrastructure assessment data used to plan maintenance and improvement programs.
Requirements:
Basic education which includes current coursework in an engineering curriculum and data processing or additional equivalent experience. Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license. Must maintain an insurable driving record.
