We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Energy Engineer to join our diverse and growing team out of our Long Island, NY office.

In this position you will be working on the development of comprehensive and investment grade energy audits, including data collection, utility bill disaggregation and benchmarking; field visits; energy calculations; cost estimates and contractor pricing, energy measure descriptions and detailed work scope packages; report writing, project design documents, development of measurement and verification plans and contract documents. You will also assist the project management team with design, bidding, and construction. You will actively work projects with various energy conservation measures (ECMs) across a variety of client sectors and facility types.

Responsibilities: 

• Data Collection
• Utility Bill Disaggregation
• Field Visits
• Energy Calculations
• Develop Energy Measure Descriptions and scope of work packages
• Work with design team
• Support construction and Sales
• Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects
• Collaboration with Project Managers and other Engineers
• Development of measurement & verification (M&V) plans
• Produce annual M&V reports
• QA/QC

Qualifications: 

• Certified Energy Manager in Training (CEM IT) or other industry related certifications a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Office software required
• Building modeling experience, a plus
• Experience in some technical areas (i.e., lighting, HVAC, renewables) of Energy Engineering a plus
• Hands on HVAC and commissioning/retro-commissioning a plus
• Ability to complete multiple tasks on multiple projects
• QA/QC of your own assigned tasks and projects
• Ability to support construction activities during implementation
• Experience working on energy audits and or energy related construction projects a huge plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with internal staff and clients
• Some Travel is required (around 10%)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000. 

Wendel is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation.
