    Field Service Technician - Field Service Representative

    The Cogeneration/CHP Service Technician is responsible for providing routine and scheduled maintenance services to Endurant Energy's Service Solutions’ customer facilities in Northern California. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your stationary reciprocating engine and generator maintenance service skills across a portfolio of cogeneration/CHP assets.

    As a Cogeneration/CHP Service Technician based in Endurant Energy's shop in Novato, CA reporting to the SVP Service Solutions, your primary mission will be to apply your maintenance service skills to large industrial stationary reciprocating engines, generators, and other CHP associated equipment located in hospitals, office buildings, universities, and industrial facilities. Strong technical skills coupled with your drive for continuous improvement and passion for sustainable low carbon energy solutions will ensure your success.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Organize and schedule activities to effectively meet customer maintenance schedules
    • Effectively communicate with customers about plant status
    • Ensure plants are cost-effectively and productively maintained
    • Forecast service work, including preventative maintenance, overhauls and major repairs to minimize down-time
    • Understanding of reciprocating engine basics and emissions
    • Aid in business development; meeting with current and potential customers
    • Properly regulate parts and materials inventory along with management to ensure jobs can be completed on-time
    • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, sketches, drawing and specifications
    • Determine the best possible procedure to perform job safely and effectively
    • Perform routine inspections and maintenance as outlined in service contracts
    • Demonstrate excellent productivity for job task being performed
    • Complete all required paperwork including service reports and timecards
    • Work safely and maintain the work with high standards of housekeeping
    • Complete and pass Safety courses provided by Endurant Energy
    • Properly follow OSHA guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment

    Requirements

    • Minimum of two (2) years technical experience working on Industrial Engines (gas/diesel, etc)
    • Have Technician Experience (Field or Shop)
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Trade / technical school training in field of work (Preferred)
    • Must have a valid driver license and have a driving record that complies with Endurant Energy requirements
    • Pass drug and background checks
    • Willing to work overtime, nights and weekends, as need be, occasionally on short notice
    • Ability to take direction
    • Willing to travel on occasion (multiple nights out of town)

    Expectations

    • Knowledge of OEM equipment and proficient in troubleshooting
    • Great intrapersonal skills and customer relations
    • Knowledge and experience of tooling
    • Blueprint & Schematic reading
    • Must be familiar in electrical diagnostics
    • Must be familiar in computer skills (basic operation, Windows, and Microsoft Office)
    • Understanding of electronic controls such as Woodward, Encorp, Altronic, CEC, DSM and ESM
    • Must own basic tools; open end and boxed end wrenches from 1/4 -2”, 3/8”, 1/2 and 3/4” ratchet and socket sets, Impacts 3/8, 1/2, Screw drivers sets, Hammers and a multi-meter, at a minimum
