Energy Manager monitors the organization's energy usage. Develops and implements practices and procedures designed to reduce energy consumption and/or improve efficiency of usage. Being an Energy Manager prepares annual budgets associated with conservation programs. May research alternative/renewable energy technologies and determine their feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, Energy Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Energy Manager work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.   • The Manager - Operations reports to the Director - Operations and provides supervision and direction to Location employees ensuring safe and effective pipeline and compressor facility operations consistent with company policies and procedures and government regulations. Works with area management to establish and monitor work group goals, operations and maintenance budgets, and small capital project scopes and budgets. Provides and coordinates emergency response and first line of contact for customers, landowners, and the public.

    • Conducting employee evaluations, career planning, safety awareness, damage prevention advocate, O&M Budgets, Operations and Capital project budgets, develop / manage new projects, PCard review and reconciliation, time sheets review, track over time, review and approve invoices, WBS preparation, SER evaluations, SAP project dashboards, SAP Work Orders, Engine Reliability reporting, GForms, and work plan review and approval.
    • Responsible to ensure area maintains compliance with established manuals or guidelines indicated in company SOPs, Best Practices, Pipeline Integrity, Work Order Descriptions, and other company operations and maintenance recommendations to maintain compliance.
    • Responsible for commissioning of new growth and expansion projects in area.
    • Provide oversight and direction to work crews to ensure facilities are maintained and operated for safe and reliable operations.
    • Responsible in insuring that the locations and employees in the area have the necessary resources and information to make informed decisions regarding day to day operations of the facilities in compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
    • On-Call 24/7 for emergencies or operational assistance.
    • Serves as the first line of management contact for customers, landowners, and the public. Assures any issues identified by these groups are conveyed to senior management and/or addresses them locally.

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred or experience in lieu of degree.
    • 8 years of experience
    • Valid driver's license
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Excellent written and verbal skills
    • Computer and basic office software experience.
    • Have effective written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment in order to establish and maintain good working relationships.
    • Possess a strong background and good working knowledge of the operating and maintenance requirements for midstream and gathering pipeline operations equipment.
    • Candidate must exhibit a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and willingness to accept constantly changing priorities.

    • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally
    • Driving, walking, and standing frequently
    • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
    • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
    • Occasional overnight travel may be required
    • Must live within 40 miles of reporting location
