Energy Manager monitors the organization's energy usage. Develops and implements practices and procedures designed to reduce energy consumption and/or improve efficiency of usage. Being an Energy Manager prepares annual budgets associated with conservation programs. May research alternative/renewable energy technologies and determine their feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, Energy Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Energy Manager work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Job Title: Plant Manager

    Location: Cameron/Weyerhaeuser, WI

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    • Work with all levels of the organization to continue to drive a safety culture and the highest level of safety performance. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards.
    • Plan, schedule, and coordinate production operations such as dry plant production, wash plant processing and rail load out.
    • Work with operations teams to create standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
    • Maintain plant operations to meet MSHA regulations at all times.
    • Oversee plant hiring, scheduling, performance management, progressive discipline, attendance tracking, time card accuracy, safety awareness, and employee development.
    • Ensure all daily shift documents are completed as required per policy.
    • Maintain working relationships with neighboring community, customers, vendors, competitors, and coworkers.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure all quality, safety, and production goals are being met.
    • Accomplish objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
    • Manage compliance with state and federal regulations.
    • Build company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
    • Participate in annual budgeting and planning process for the sand processing, drying and rail facility annual budgets with Regional Manager.
    • Drives initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
    • Promote a positive company image during the course and scope of the performance of these duties.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Who We’re Looking For:

    • Four-year degree in operations, business management (preferred), or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
    • Ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience.
    • Prior experience in mining or sand processing or a refinery is strongly preferred.
    • Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Lean Manufacturing techniques a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
    • Must be able to meet deadlines and successfully handle time pressures and stress.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and the general public.
    • Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential business information.
    • Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.
    • Valid Driver’s License

     

    Nice to Have:

    • Knowledge of frac sand processing facilities
    • Knowledge of MSHA regulations
