Endoscopy Technician performs various direct patient care activities in the endoscopy unit under the supervision of a physician. Ensures that all equipment is functioning properly. Being an Endoscopy Technician may assist with medical procedures. Typically requires an associate degree. Additionally, Endoscopy Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Endoscopy Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Looking for a endoscopy technician for a busy gastroenterology practice who is professional, punctual, detail oriented and polite.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting physicians during procedures (upper endoscopies and colonoscopies)
- working pre-op and recovery on procedure days
- Washing scopes
- IV placement
- Triaging patients/Rooming patients
- Answering phones
- Inputting info into EHR
- Prior authorizations
- Scanning/shredding documents
