What you will be working on:

• Assist physicians in endoscopic procedures under the supervision of the physician
• Setting up &/or breaking down patient procedure rooms
• Assisting clinical team in delivering high quality professional care while achieving optimal patient satisfaction
• Decontamination and reprocessing of endoscopic equipment
• The care and maintenance of endoscopy equipment and other patient care equipment
• Assisting the registered nurse, as directed, in the patient admission, recovery, and / or discharge process as necessary.

What you’ll know:

• A successful applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification required
• One year of experience is preferred in a hospital or Ambulatory GI/Endoscopy and/or multi-specialty surgery environment with working knowledge and proficiency in the use and/or reprocessing of endoscopy equipment.
• Endoscopy or Surgical Technician experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Solid experience with endoscope reprocessing is preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR preferred
• Requires effective communication skills, a commitment to providing excellent patient service and professionalism and must be a solid team player.
• Previous experience maintaining equipment a plus.
