SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for assisting and supporting providers during Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, and GI, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including procedure room set up, providing and anticipating necessary equipment and supply needs, maintenance of sterile field, and preparation and administration of appropriate medications as delegated. Assist provider with alternate site procedures and associated equipment documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required.
1 year of healthcare experience with clinical patient contact and provider assistance required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Basic anatomy and physiology terminology required.
Strong written and oral communication skills required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience as an Endoscopy Technician, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician, preferred
BLS certification preferred
Strong Computer/technical skills preferred.
