  • First Bank and Trust is seeking a BSA Administrator to join our team. The BSA Administrator ensures the bank adheres to reporting requirements, identifies and reports suspicious activity related to money laundering, tax evasion or other criminal activities.

    POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the BSA Officer, this position will be responsible for the daily BSA Administrator functions. This will include conducting investigations on any suspicious activity, utilizing the Yellow Hammer BSA anti-money laundering software and working closely with the Compliance Department to ensure the bank is following current rules and regulations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review daily cash reports such as Cash Transaction Detail Report, G/L Cash Trans List, Cash Exchange List
    • Review and process reports on the Yellow Hammer BSA software
    • Reviews of suspicious activity alerts and proper collect documentation
    • Provide support and assistance to branch personnel regarding BSA questions
    • Ensure proper documentation is collected at account opening
    • Assist in quarterly reviews and preparing for BSA Committee meetings
    • Collect audit data, analyzes, compiles and report result
    • Assist in gathering documentation required for examinations
    • Attend annual BSA training
    • Assist Compliance Department when necessary
    • Other duties as required

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting, Business and/or Finance
    • Have interest in learning about BSA/AML and Regulatory Compliance

    MINIMUM SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Math and analytical skills.
    • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
    • Working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and its related requirements
    • Ability to work within prescribed time frames
    • Self-starter able to work without constant supervision
