GENERAL SUMMARY
- Leads the company's employee engagement and talent management activities. This includes engaging community partners, managers, employees both internally and externally. There primary focus will be on talent attraction and retention efforts along with employee development and performance management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS
FOCUS /RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:
Human Resources
- Lead recruitment efforts, focusing on filling critical vacancies and exploring third-party Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) firms when necessary. Manage the full recruitment process from vacancy to placement.
- Develop and implement talent management pipeline strategies, including modifying policies for sponsorships and fostering ongoing awareness for talent acquisition.
- Facilitate career exploration initiatives in high schools and community organizations to attract top talent. Develop strategies to attract and retain key talent.
- Drive employee engagement and experience initiatives to create a positive workplace culture. Oversee the engagement survey and review process.
- Coordinate and enhance the employee experience for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and scheduling for behavioural assessments to support talent development efforts along with overseeing training and information on these assessments.
- Oversees location's performance management system, including performance metrics, and validation of company policy. Track and manage Individual Performance Objectives (IPOs) and goals to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Partners with managers and team members on coaching, career development, disciplinary action, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinates the administration of various employee training and leadership development programs.
JOB CRITERIA
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field and three years progressive related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources may be preferred.
- Previous recruitment experience preferred.
- Requires a valid driver's license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Proven experience in recruitment, talent management, and employee relations.
- Strong understanding of performance management systems and employee engagement strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Predictive Index assessments or similar behavioural assessment tools is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel and SharePoint
- Skills with using a computer and office related products.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to analyse, research, organize and interpret data; possess attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize time/workload to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
WORKING CONDITIONS
(include the travel requirements; physical requirements; office/field requirements; ADA compliance requirements)
- Normal office conditions with some work in a production environment
- Occasional travel to plant locations in North Dakota and Indiana
- Must be able to read, speak and comprehend the English language.
- Must be able to able to work for extended periods of sitting, standing and perform repetitive motion tasks.
- Normal work hours for this position are normal business hours, Monday through Friday, with additional hours required as needed.
